Join us for this Yoga Teacher Training with a Permaculture Living Focus at the Mystical Yoga Farm in Guatemala. It has been our intention since we started the farm two years ago to integrate permaculture into our your training course and to focus on simple living and high thinking. This 200-hour yoga training is running concurently with the fully integrated Yoga & Permaculture Course and will have a flavor of permaculture throughout. If you are looking to receive your Permaculature Living Certificate as well, check out this Yoga and Permaculture course.

Our courses are truly life changing as we immerse ourselves into the yoga lifestyle through meditation, pranayama, asana, vegetarian meals, working with the earth, and application of yogic theory into daily living. We invite you to open your heart to connect the essence of the universe, love, compassion, and perfection. We invite you to reveal the inner stillness and peace that resides deep in your heart and soul. We invite you to radiate peace and love to all mankind and the universe.

The Mystical Yoga Farm is an ideal location, set in a quiet part of Lake Atitlan (one of the most beautiful lakes in the world) in the Guatemalan Highlands. Each day will have yoga classes, workshops, lectures, discussions and projects. Each participant will get to choose a daily task to contribute to the farm.

Guided group meditation starts at 6:30am and is followed by yoga class. A Daily yoga lesson on theory and philosophy is waved into the yoga asana practice and is advised to apply to our daily living. Yoga lectures cover yoga philosophy, yoga theory, yogic living, yoga diet, yoga anatomy, yoga and business, meditation, kriyas, and yogic healing. Daily Satsang (wise gatherings) in the evening allow the group to contemplate and reflect on our sadhana (spiritual practice) for the day.

We will learn about healing our planet by living in harmony and balance with nature at the Mystical Yoga Farm where we will learn to grow organic food through mystical, theoretical, and hands on exploration of permaculture, biodynamic, and ecological agricultural techniques including soil fertility regeneration through composting and mulching, rainwater harvesting, plant propagation, and more.

Food at the Mystical Yoga Farm is vegetarian (and mostly vegan) served twice daily (breakfast and dinner with a midday snack) and as often as possible is harvested from our organically cultivated volcanic soil as well as wild foraged from the surrounding jungle. We also prepare and serve typical Guatemalan food drawing on the traditions of the food prepared by the local Tz´utujil and Kaq´chikel peoples.
