Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance
Yoga Alliance is a global registering body for yoga schools and yoga teachers. SchoolYoga Institute has been offering Yoga Alliance registered teacher training courses since 2002.
Introduction
This Yoga Teacher Training Course (AYTTC) will be held in a small intimate
study environment where we will experience and learn from the gift and wisdom
of those who have channeled and inspired to share the connection and creative
energy of the universe, led by Jed along with other connected souls and local
shamans, at the mystical and sacred Lago Titicaca, Bolivia, and Sacred Valley,
Peru.
With stunning views of the snow-capped Cordiela mountain range rising up in
the distance, you will feel the magic of Lago Titicaca, South America’s highest
and largest lake. This first leg of the training is strategically located to facilitate
energy activation. According to ancient Mayan Prophecy, this is where the
spiritual energy center (kundalini) of the earth resides for the next 26,000 years!
Proximity to this energy will catalyze the spiritual awakening of each individual.
We will live in the village where Ayamara families still practice their ancient
healing traditions along the shore of the pristine lake. Ayamara medicine
practitioners will share their wisdom of the earth, teach us how to create harmony
with our world, and show us how to heal ourselves and others. The second leg
of our epic journey will take us down in elevation to experience the magic of
Peru’s sacred valley, where we will be among ancient Quechua/Inka temples and
ruins. We will again be blessed to learn from indigenous shamans in ceremony,
learning to restore balance and give thanks. An additional, optional journey to the
legendary Machu Picchu is another of the many highlights.
We call this unique program, the mythical yoga teacher training. In addition to
our standard course offerings (2 yoga class sequences, yoga sutras, anatomy
& physiology, art of teaching, working with the medicine wheel, nightly sadhana/
kirtan, etc…) we will dive deep into our mystical consciousness, developing our
practice from the soul level to bring forth each individual’s unique gifts. We will
share the teachings of yoga applied to daily living, connect through provoking
cosmic wisdom, and learn Shamanic Healing Practices of the Andes. There will
also be silence and fasting personal retreat days allowing for a deep integration
of course offerings.
There are many great wisdom teachers who will join us for this special course,
including lead facilitator, Jed, his assistant facilitator(s), energy of Vedantin and
Gabriella, and local Shamans and healing practitioners, Angel, Roger, Lucio,
and Chuy. They will share their insights and medicine, in fire ceremony, Coca
leaf readings, energetic healings, connection to sacred temples and ancient
sites, and optional sacred plant medicines, Cacao, San Pedro, and Ayauasca.
The most important aspect of this training is for each of you to connect the
wisdom and guru inside you through deepened self-practice and inquiry. The
community we are creating together helps facilitate our channeling to the creative
self, the universal wisdom.
The Soul of SYI
SchoolYoga Institute is a family where we come together to share the beauty
and ancient tradition of yoga. We sincerely value the wisdom that yoga tradition
has to offer us and at the same time try to facilitate the integration of the wisdom
into our everyday life so the ancient teaching no longer is antique but becomes
alive and the art of living. The yoga tradition derives from the mystical Hindu
tradition but we assimilate the similarity of the spiritual traditions of the world into
our teaching and practice. We see the oneness in all and the unity in diversity…

Style of Yoga
Sadhana Yoga – Foundation Yoga Style of SchoolYoga Institute
Sadhana Yoga is the primary focus of yoga teacher training. Sadhana Yoga
is the yoga of spiritual practice. Even though it is derived from different yoga
traditions, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Sivananda, Iyengar, etc., but it is designed beyond
the forms and traditions. It focuses on the essence of the yoga traditions as an
instrument to reveal the truth of our existence: spiritual beings!
It has three levels. The first level of practice is the foundation and it has a routine
of fundamental postures linked with transition breath and sequences. The second
level is the modification. Based on the first level postures and the sequence,
the students start modifying the existing postures to more difficult or easier
levels. The third level is the integration. Students start integrating the learned
routines with personal practice. So the personal practice and teaching become
meaningful to his or her understanding of yoga. So there is no longer a form of
Yoga from SchoolYoga Institute but the true connection and self-understanding
to yoga. It becomes a spiritual practice for each student….
