Our mission is to light the lamp of knowledge. To cultivate an understanding of ancient lineage in union with modern-day living. How we do anything is how we do everything. Yoga lights our way to liberation.
This 300hr YTT takes place at Ayursoma Ayurveda Royal Retreat Center located in the Ayurveda capital of the world, Kerala! Live a dreamy, balanced yogic lifestyle here — enjoying cherished practices, beautiful sea swims, meditating on the beach, and taking in spectacular sunsets as you soak in the sights and sounds of this sublime place. We will come together in the sacred motherland of yoga to connect in the divine community.
You will explore the path of yoga through tradition, clarity, and purposeful action. Yoga is a relinquishment of the things that cause suffering and cultivation of the things that bring us happiness and ease.
This program will guide you in learning how to practice and teach from the gross to the subtle. We will embrace the deeper dimensions of Yoga, leaning into the practices of Ayurveda, Asana, Pranayama, Mantra, Mudra, and Sacred offerings with the intention of guiding and being guided by the ancient wisdom that holds beauty and grace all on its own. We traverse the landscapes of our systems and patterns and begin to uncover the nuances and direct actions that support us, and students that study with us, in finding their way to more connected and fulfilling life practices.
While we live in a world filled with “have to's” and “not enough’s”.Yoga teaches us to improve our lives and live within the context of our existing wholeness. We do this by cultivating sustained attention to those aspects that motivate us to keep practicing, connecting, and thriving. Our Intention is to guide the students of life to a seat of awareness, understanding, and compassion for ourselves and others.
We teach as students and live as humble servants of nature. Can we learn to come back to the beginner's mind?

I completed both my 200-hour and 300-hour training with SYI within the past 10 months - they were both absolutely amazing experiences that I wish I could relive over and over! The sense of community and bonds formed are some of the most special things I get to take with me post-training. Meeting like-minded souls from all over the world with such diverse backgrounds is what makes the experience extra special and unique.
I am also walking away with an abundance of knowledge, not only about yoga and asana postures, but also yogic scripture, Ayurveda, mantra, pranayama, mudras, human anatomy, social justice, & the list goes on!
I highly recommend training with SYI - you will be welcomed with open arms and hearts! <3

Kerala is known for its natural and cultural heritage, and in doing so, Ayur Soma has been built in a style that preserves the unique traditions of God’s Own Country. Our age-old aesthetic beauty and traditional craftsmanship can be seen in every part of this property, which is built in traditional Kerala architecture, mostly found in temples and palaces of this region. It is interesting to see how places of utmost importance, were built with local resources and in perfect harmony with nature, something that Ayur Soma strongly depicts.
The architectural style of Kerala has been influenced by climate and coming in of Western traders, a part of which, is the clock tower right at the center of this palace-like building. What interests a visitor, is the secret meditation room built within this tower. It serves as the perfect getaway for meditating with a panoramic view of the below-lying beach.
The highlight of Ayur Soma is the rooms, which have been designed especially for comfort and royal feel, with spacious rooms, carved wooden ceilings, carved doors, windows, and wooden balcony railings. An attraction here is the meditation hall, which has one of its walls made of latticed wood, a remarkable part of palace design, and this forms a grand segment of the property, giving it a perfect royal palace resemblance. These wooden gabbled windows were an iconic part of palaces and temples in Kerala.

With the world's largest rainforest ecosystem, the Amazon Rainforest spans 9 countries and is home to iconic species like the Jaguar, Macaw, Amazon River Dolphin, Black Spider Monkey, and Poison Dart Frog. By holding an estimated 90-140 billion metric tons of carbon, its forests play a critical role in the fight against climate change. Unfortunately, due to logging, unsustainable agriculture, and forest fires, it's also a high risk zone for deforestation and degradation.
