Empowering Growth Through Transformative Trainings
Understand the Nervous System. Experience It in Your Body. Learn to Teach From It. You can know every yoga pose and still not understand the nervous system of the person practicing it.
This 50-hour training takes you beyond simply learning how to “regulate” and gives you a deeper understanding of how the nervous system works, how stress and life experiences show up in the body, and how movement, breath, awareness and somatic practices can support the people you teach.
And because this is somatic work, you won’t just learn it from a textbook. You’ll experience it in your own body first.
Every person who walks into your class brings a nervous system with them. They bring stress. Relationships. Work. Grief. Fear. Overwhelm. Trauma. Habits. Emotions. Protective patterns. And a lifetime of experiences that influence how they breathe, move, rest and respond. Understanding the nervous system changes the way you see all of it.
Instead of asking only:
What pose should I teach?
You begin asking:
What is happening in this person’s system, and what might support them right now?
That shift can completely change the way you teach yoga.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
This training blends nervous system science, somatic yoga, embodiment and trauma-informed teaching so you can understand both the why and the how behind the practices you offer. You’ll explore:
- The anatomy and physiology of the nervous system
- Sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system responses
- Stress, survival responses and regulation
- How emotions and lived experiences can influence the body
- Fight, flight, freeze and other protective responses
- Somatic awareness and interoception
- Movement as a tool for nervous system support
- Breath and nervous system regulation
- Somatic practices for activation, grounding and release
- Shaking, sound, breath, movement and other forms of discharge
- Restorative Yoga, Yin, Yoga Nidra and other regulating practices
- Trauma-informed language and teaching
- Creating greater choice, agency and safety in your classes
- Holding space without becoming someone’s therapist
- Supporting students while staying within your scope of practice
- How to bring nervous system education into yoga classes, workshops, retreats and private sessions
Most importantly, you’ll learn that nervous system work isn’t always about getting calm.
Sometimes the body needs rest. Sometimes it needs movement. Sometimes it needs sound. Sometimes it needs boundaries. Sometimes it needs to feel something it has been working very hard not to feel.
Regulation is not about staying calm. It is about increasing our capacity to move through life’s experiences without losing connection to ourselves.
WHO IS THIS TRAINING FOR
This training is designed especially for yoga teachers who want to understand the human being behind the pose. It is ideal for teachers who want to:
- Bring nervous system awareness into their existing yoga classes
- Understand somatics beyond the latest wellness buzzwords
- Create more trauma-informed and body-aware offerings
- Better support students experiencing stress and overwhelm
- Add somatic practices to workshops, retreats or private sessions
- Understand why the same practice can feel regulating for one person and overwhelming for another
- Feel more confident holding space for emotion without stepping outside their scope
- Deepen their own relationship with their body and nervous system
You do not need to become a Somatic Yoga teacher to use this work. This training is designed to change the way you teach whatever yoga you already teach.
It is also valuable for coaches, facilitators, wellness professionals and students who want a deeper understanding of the nervous system and embodied practice.
WHAT MAKES THIS TRAINING DIFFERENT
There are a lot of nervous system trainings that teach you about regulation. This one asks you to experience it.
You’ll learn the science, and then you’ll feel what happens when you apply it.
What happens to your breath when you feel safe?
What does activation actually feel like?
What happens when you shake, hum, push, move, rest or make sound?
How do you recognize your own yes and no?
What does your body do when an emotion arrives?
And how can you possibly guide another person toward their body if you haven’t learned how to listen to your own?
This is nervous system education from the inside out.
