The Indigo Yoga Resort is a Boutique hotel in Mal Pais, on the southernmost tip of the Nicoya peninsula. Just steps away from the Pacific Ocean, it provides everything a person seeking relaxation and comfort needs. All of our rooms include A/C, ceiling fans, private bathrooms with hot water & “open-sky” showers, hammocks and a room safe box. With astounding natural beauty, warm water temperatures, and incredible wildlife, this yoga teacher training in Costa Rica is a unique opportunity for those called to both the ancient sacred practices of yoga and the art of surfing.
The Mal Pais and Santa Teresa surfing zone is known for its year-round consistent waves. In addition to the yoga training, you will have daily opportunities to learn and deepen your surfing practice. The average swell running in the 3-5 foot range breaking over beautiful sand beaches. Indigo Yoga Resort is a short five-minute walk from some of the most spectacular tide pools in Costa Rica. Each morning we will have shuttles down to the waves. Playa Carmen being just 2 kilometers up the road will be our most common surf spot. As well, depending on participant needs and abilities we will have opportunities to go up to the breaks at Banana Beach, Santa Teresa and Playa Hermosa. As well we will all experience the wonder of Stand Up Paddleboarding (‘SUPing’) right in Mal Pais. Non-surfing nature lovers or beginner to expert surfers can all equally benefit from this seamless blending of two flow-based spiritual practices.
Everyone is wholeheartedly accepted and encouraged. We create and hold space where participants feel safe and comfortable. We support the growth and expansion of people’s horizons — physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and energetically. As a group, a community, a tribe, and an extended family, we practice and learn to let go. We allow the world to unfold before us without reaction or judgment.
Our intention is to guide aspirants through their own healing journey in order to better prepare them for healing others, letting go of anything that holds them back from what their hearts are truly called to do. Together we unveil the true essence and sweet nectar of life.
