SYI FACILITATORS:

ALINA

RYT 500 Teacher, Facilitator, Artist, and Space Holder

Alina, a devotee of yoga, a wellness enthusiast, an artist, and a free spirit, places utmost importance on connection, expression, and freedom. Her yoga journey initially served as a means to deepen her self-connection, but it has since evolved into a global exploration, where she shares this sacred practice to help others embark on a similar path.

With an extensive 500+ hours of yoga studies, she completed her 200-hour YTT in Delray Beach, Florida, and her 300-hour in the Canary Islands of Spain. She is going to complete another 300-hour bhakti yoga training in January of 2024 to integrate even more knowledge into her teachings!

Alina integrates her creativity and authenticity into every class. Her offerings include inventive vinyasa sessions, nourishing yin classes, expressive movement sessions, experimental sound baths, and much more. Music, nature, and the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit drive her not only in her teachings but also in life.

Alina is profoundly passionate about spreading this practice while honoring its sacred Indian roots, constantly reminding people of the true essence of yoga—union.

What’s your favorite pose?

I find it very hard to narrow down to just one pose, but if I had to choose I Would say camel, Ustrasana! Heart openers are very powerful for me, they allow me to physically and be so open. I feel like I am releasing so much tension and worry off of my shoulders. It is a pose I incorporate into a lot of my daily practices, and teachings.

What’s your favorite quote?

Again, I have so many little quotes in my toolbox that I always refer back to! But if I had to choose, one that is so profound for me is "In order to get to the path of the least resistance you must first go through the path of the most resistance" I am not sure who wrote this quote, but it came to my life at such a time when I needed to hear it and it stuck to me ever since. It is a reminder that when you think things are falling apart or life is testing you, there is always a breakthrough on the other side! I have been proven this time and time again throughout my life thus far.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU IN YOUR PRACTICE?

I am so inspired by connection and exploration. Every time I meet and connect with like-minded souls, and explore new places it really inspires something deeply into my practice and my life. I mean the goal is to take the practice off the mat and into our everyday lives!
