MEET MARIA
RYT 500. Master’s in Psychology & Alternative Medicine. | Kung Fu Practitioner.

Maria embarked on a spiritual journey with a decade of dedicated practice in kung fu, a Chinese martial art. However, her exploration didn’t end there. Seeking more ways to connect with her inner self, Maria discovered the practice of yoga.
As Maria immersed herself in the physical and mental benefits of yoga, a strong desire grew within her to share this transformative experience with others. She successfully completed 200- and 300-hour yoga teacher training programs in India, specializing in Vinyasa, Hatha yoga, Yoga Therapy, and Ayurveda. After graduating, she has had the privilege of guiding personalized yoga sessions as well as teaching in several yoga studios in Munich, Germany. This experience deepened her connection with students, revealing the power of yoga. Maria’s teaching style emphasizes creating a supportive and inclusive space, tailoring classes to individual needs.
With a heartfelt passion for helping others realize their transformative potential, Maria is currently pursuing a Master’s in Psychology and Heilpraktiker Ausbildung (Alternative Medical Doctor Studies) in Germany. This study path in psychology and practical medicine enhances her understanding of people and augments her yoga practice and teaching. Maria is eager to integrate this comprehensive knowledge into her yoga teaching philosophy, inspiring more individuals on their yoga journey as Yoga Practitioners and Yoga Teachers.
What’s your favorite yoga pose and why?
Cat-cow yoga movement is like a cozy hug for my body and soul. Arching into the cat pose helps me release tension and stress, making me feel lighter with every exhale. Transitioning into the cow pose feels like opening my heart to embrace a new day. With each breath, I sense strength and kindness flowing through me. This yoga movement gently reminds me that emotional self-nurturing is as crucial as the physical benefits.
The cat-cow flow is a little emotional journey. In the cat pose, I let go of emotional baggage, and in the cow pose, I soak in goodness. It’s a dance between releasing and embracing the positive. The best part? It doesn’t need fancy words or complicated moves – just moving with my breath brings me emotional relief and joy.
What is your favorite quote?
“In letting go, you find strength; in self-care, you find wealth.” – my grandmother.
What inspires you in your practice?
What inspires me in my yoga practice is the feeling of unlocking a treasure chest within myself. It’s more than just physical postures; it’s discovering hidden strengths and untapped potential that brings me back to my mat with excitement.
What fuels my inspiration is the sense of inner peace yoga brings. Amidst the chaos of modern life, stepping onto the mat is like entering a serene oasis. The quiet moments of breathing and finding stillness help me reconnect with my own center. It’s a reminder that, no matter what’s happening outside, there’s a tranquil space within that I can always return to – a source of calm and strength.
