Born and raised in north Florida, Brandi grew up the second oldest of six children. When not practicing or teaching yoga, you can find Brandi outside in the garden, surfing, biking, enjoying one of north Florida’s natural springs, playing music, or enjoying her love for nature with her dogs.Brandi’s yoga journey began in 2001, when she was 16 and her mother took her to her first yoga class. The introduction to yoga at this young age opened her mind and shaped her path in this life. Fresh out of high school, Brandi attend a neuromuscular massage therapy school in Jacksonville, Florida. Since then, she has followed her calling and made a career as a practicing licensed massage therapist, in addition to her true life’s purpose: being a yoga teacher.
The anatomy and knowledge of the human body that she learned in massage school greatly increased her depth of knowledge of the human body, which has shaped her yoga practice and teachings. The in-depth, alignment based yoga trainings she has completed has led her to teach alignment-based yoga classes, helping people to understand and heal their own bodies on a deeper, more specific level – as a more dynamic, thoroughly connected being.Brandi completed an Ashtanga based 100-hour teacher training in Kauai, HI with Bhavani Maki, followed by a 200-hour Yoga Works training with Tzahi Moskovitz. These two trainings were deeply rooted in Ashtanga, with a strong emphasis on Iyengar and alignment. After many years of teaching, Brandi completed her 3oo hour training with School Yoga Institute in Peru, which helped her to connect back to her inner healer on a more in-depth level.
Brandi teaches a variety of weekly classes, including Ashtanga; Alignment Flow; Yin; and Flow, as well as local workshops, international retreats, and a local 200 hr teacher training, based out of Gainesville, Florida.

I love the feeling of mental and physical clarity after a yoga practice led by deep breathing. To feel the way my body moves and changes with the smallest adjustments still amazes me. When I practice yoga, it is my opportunity to look inside my physical body, to understand the inner workings and complexity that is this physical body. I am inspired by what I learn from my body and I get excited to share that knowledge with others.
