MEET CARLIE
RYT 500, Aroyoga Therapy, Trauma Informed, Somatic Healing, Spanish YTT Facilitator.

Having moved across the world at a very young age, to grow up in a small mountain town in the south of Spain, cultivated a sense of curiosity and deep knowing that there was so much more to life than met the eye. Immersed in a new culture, learning from people with other ways of being, quickly opened me up to experience a wide range of what it meant to be human.
To be so beautifully different and yet the same at the core of our nature.
Yoga has been a part of my life in some way, spiritually, physically or mentally, since I can remember, I just hadn’t known to call it yoga yet. It is a way of life, a deepening of our understanding of who we are as a whole, a witnessing of our nature, a learning to live in harmony.
Yoga teaches me more, everyday, about the expansiveness of my breath, and to regulate my nervous system by controlling it. It teaches me to feel into the sensations in my body, to become present with what is, just as it is. It teaches me to open myself vulnerably, to be seen and to be love. It teaches me to explore the depths of my being and my relationship to life. To navigate my emotions and nurture spiritual connection. To sit in awe of it all.
Yoga has been a beautiful gift to this life. My calling is to share this gift, to share spaces that empower others to find healing and grounding within themselves. Spaces to honor our full presence, find strength and softness simultaneously. Tap into the peace that already resides within.
I travel full time facilitating embodiment experiences, guiding awareness inward, through blends of different yoga lineages, somatic movement, nervous system regulation techniques and other cultural elements learned along the way.
When I am not training I cultivate women’s retreats as opportunities to journey inward, establish reconnection and embrace the wholeness of human experience through openness, vulnerability and love.
I am now deepening my studies in trauma resolution to better support the adolescent addiction recovery home where I teach.
What’s your favorite yoga pose and why?
Childs pose. Pausing to bow in reverence to the earth that supports me feels incredibly grounding. Tuning into the sensations of my body being held, my mind connected and my heart open, I feel at peace there.
What is your favorite quote?
“Nothing is softer or more flexible than water, yet nothing can resist it.” — Lao TzuI am learning to allow the movement of water to nourish my feminine, to embody my experience when I surrender and indulge in the beauty I find in softness. That is where my power lies.
What inspires you in your practice?
Remaining a student, learning to deepen my awareness of the connection between my mind and body. My practice is a gift of time and space to heal, to discover, to play and simply be.

~ Carlie was compassionate, empathetic, a great listener throughout the training. She felt like a comfortable presence that reminded me of home in the best way! She constantly made myself and others feel seen and heard. Carlie has become a huge inspiration for me as a yoga teacher. I strive to become even half the yoga teacher she is! I absolutely loved every second of my time with Carlie.
~ Carlie was an amazing instructor. She has this positive energy she brings into every room she walks into.
