Flavia was born and raised in Zurich, Switzerland, where she lives at the moment. Her love for other cultures, travelling, languages and movement brought her all around the world. After a year abroad in Scotland in 2014 she decided to take her interest for movement and the body a step further and completed a Pilates instructor course in Bern, Switzerland, while finishing her Bachelor’s degree in English literature and art history at the University of Zurich. What Flavia missed in Pilates was a more encompassing and spiritual tradition which she was able to learn and cherish through her Hatha and Kundalini Yoga teachers as well as her mother who is a Yoga therapist.
In 2016, Flavia and her partner embarked on a two-year journey through South America, where she completed both the 200H and 500H YYT through SYI in Peru. On this magical continent, she was able to deepen her spiritual practice and teaching experiences and follow her calling to guide other people on the yogic and shamanic path.
Flavia’s classes are deeply intention based and it is very important to her that all her students’ needs, worries and expectations are met and heard. She is very devoted in teaching the many benefits of various meditation techniques and incorporating pranayama and prana healing exercises into her classes. She also incorporates what she has learned in her years of studying literature and the arts, weaving the wisdom of poets and artists into her meditations and healing practice.
At the moment, she is completing her Master’s degree in World Literature at the University of Bern while teaching regular Mystical Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra classes. Since late 2018, she is partaking in a 200H Yin Yoga course with the German teacher Helga Baumgartner and has also completed Reiki level 2. Additionally, she has created an in-depth 6 months course on the chakra system together with an energy therapist. She hosts regular cacao ceremonies for her community and is working on a meditation book for travelers.
At the moment my favourite pose is Dragonfly. This is Yin posture works wonders for me when I am in a dark or angry mood, always bringing back a smile on my face.

There are innumerable things that inspire me in my personal practice, from the first ray of the day, to the way I meet other people, to the changing of the seasons. I don’t believe there is truly anything that could not help me on my path towards bringing forth the best version of myself. For me, the practice on the mat is here to bring me back to a natural place where I can breathe deeply and work on what is going on inside and outside of me in this moment. From this place I can stand up and meet my day to day challenges with an open heart, mind and spirit and learn to flow with the waves of life with more ease and grace to bring true change into the world.
