Kylie's journey into yoga began after a major back surgery left her in pain and feeling rigid. Through the discipline of yoga, Kylie found freedom from her physical pain, and fell in love with its ability to clear and calm the mind.
Kylie received her 200 hour teacher training certificate from Corepower Yoga in 2012 and went on to receive her 300 hour teacher training in Bali, receiving her certificate from School Yoga Institute.
She has taught meditation and many forms of yoga for over 9 years, including aerial, paddleboard, vinyasa, yin, sculpt, and restorative yoga. Kylie's love for writing began in childhood and she has discovered first-hand how yoga can serve to strengthen a writer’s discipline, flow, and creativity - as well as inspire storytelling through the rich symbolism behind each asana and yoga philosophy.
Kylie holds an M.F.A. in Writing for the Screen and Television from the U.S.C. School of Cinematic Arts, and has co-written two independently produced films, showcased in film fests such as Cinequest and the Newport Beach Film Festival. She is currently an English and Screenwriting professor and yoga instructor in South Lake Tahoe, California.
Her greatest passion is in uniting the benefits of writing and yoga to release the stories from the soul to the page.
