MEET SARAH
500 RYT, Yin and Trauma-Informed Teacher, Adventurous soul
Sarah was born and raised in Appalachia, where she spent her youth creating a strong connection with nature. Now residing in Saint Augustine, FL, if she’s not in the studio you can likely find her near the ocean, surfing. She also enjoys riding bikes, hiking, spending time in her garden with her dogs, or in the local rock-climbing gym. She discovered yoga on the west coast of Bali on a surf trip in 2016. One afternoon she walked into a Shala, where she was introduced to Ashtanga Yoga, and never looked back. Yoga provided a deep sense of knowing, a purpose, a feeling of coming home.
It is her belief that yoga provides the opportunity to discover one’s deepest truths. It brings to light an authenticity that may have been buried deep, uncovers a connection to one’s own body that may have been long forgotten, and provides a safe container for positive transformation by helping us nurture our inner desires.
Her passion for yoga grew over the course of receiving her 200-hour certification with Red Skies Yoga in Jacksonville, FL. She later attended multiple trainings and workshops that would earn her yin and trauma-informed certifications. Upon completing her 300-hour certification with SYI in Guatemala, she knew her passion for holding sacred spaces for her students had taken root deep in her soul.
It is her mission to bring techniques into her student’s lives that lead to a greater sense of ease and joy. With her knowledge and passion of yogic practices, combined with a conscious living and holistic wellness approach, she hopes to help others find liberation and comfort in their bodies, connect them back to mother nature, and ignite their desire to live their most authentic lives.
Sarah’s favorite pose is dancer. Dancer allows her to tap into her power, finding balance as well as stability, while surrendering to her body’s limits in the moment.
