Anita’s journey in the sacred healing arts began more than thirty years ago. She is a teacher, healer, yogini, botanical alchemist and passionate woman who share’s her love for Ayurveda, Yoga and the Sacred Art of living.

The fabric that makes up her lifestyle teachings is infused by the magic of her birthplace, Mysore, India. She draws inspiration from the spiritual lineage of her family, most important her mother and mentor, Swamini Srividyananda who resides at a Vedanta and Sanskrit Ashram. Anita’s yoga foundation began in the Iyengar tradition, with layered wisdom from teachers; Rod Stryker, Mas Vidal, Judith Lasater, Dr. Vasant Lad and years of study with master teachers in a variety of holistic modalities. She is certified at the 500hr level and Restorative Yoga.

Anita’s style of teaching Yoga is of the heart dedicated to the great Vedic Science of Yoga and Ayurveda. She is committed to teaching an integral form of yoga that combines the classical yoga system of Patanjali, integrated with the healing Science of Ayurveda. She strongly believes in the practice of Pranayama, Meditation and Mantra. Anita has always connected to sacred rituals and believes the elements of true beauty are more than skin deep. She created Anita Sundaram Beauty as a haven for Soul Nourishment. As a licensed face & body therapist she offers healing sessions incorporating the magic of botanicals, essential oils, and marma therapy to balance and heal the senses.
